Trentham High School were today celebrating good news in the Department for Education league tables. Since Headteacher Dr Blencowe was appointed, the school has been on a mission to drive up standards and this is reflected in vastly improved results. Since 2013, the school has been:
- The most improved in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire for 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths and 7th most improved in the West Midlands.
- The most improved in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire for the English Baccalaureate and 3rd most improved in the West Midlands.
Dr Blencowe says, “These improved results reflect an enormous amount of hard work on the part of staff and students along with support from home. We know that we are not yet where we want to be as a school, but we also know that, as these results are based on solid foundations of high standards and relentless improvements in teaching and learning, we will be able to continue to improve in the years to come.”
