CLT Board of Trustees

Mel Sproston

Vice-Chair of Board of Trustees

Having lived in Stoke-on-Trent for most of my life, I am committed to its ongoing regeneration and development and recognise the important role that City Learning Trust has to play in maximising outcomes for our young people.

I am an advocate of youth and community services, also acting as Director and Chair of Biddulph Youth and Community Zone, which provides a safe, warm and friendly environment for people of the town and acts as a community ‘hub’ with a range of education activities, cultural events, sports sessions and opportunities to socialise.

By day, I am an experienced educationalist and have managed the design, development and delivery of education services and programmes for students and teachers and supported Ministries, local authorities/municipalities, independent organisations and individual schools and colleges on specific areas such as strategic planning, leadership, school improvement, and professional services.

I am therefore dedicated to applying my experience to supporting the City Learning Trust, its staff and young people, as it grows and prospers.
